The Plot

A family moves from Brooklyn to a southern mansion to get a fresh start. The fresh start turns out to be nothing like the family expected.

Out of a secret room come unexplainable things and disappointments that affects the family. The fresh start that Dana and David along with their 5-year-old son Jeremy expected turns into a nightmare. The disappointments that come out of the secret room make the family wish a million times they had stayed in Brooklyn and not have moved to the mansion. After seeing the movie, viewers will probably go home and look for their own secret room while hoping they won't find one.

The Cast

Kate Beckinsale plays Dana, the loving wife to David, played by Mel Raido. She is the doting mother to a young son, Jeremy. The 43-year-old English actress shines in The Disappointments Room as she does in other Movies. Beckinsale is known primarily for her work in action films. Seeing her in a horror film is quite different than what fans are accustomed to seeing.

Mel Raido plays Beckinsale's husband, David. Raido is a 39-year-old actor who has performed mostly in theaters rather than in a lot of films. The mixture of horror, mystery and suspense will fill the bill for movie lovers who enjoy those types of movies.
