Ryan Edwards has returned to Instagram for the first time in weeks. Following the launch of an animal cruelty investigation against him, the Teen Mom OG star temporarily made his account private before ultimately choosing to return to his public account and share a new post about a recent adventure near his hometown.

"Doing a little camping," Edwards wrote on Instagram days ago. Along with the post, which was taken at Chester Frost Park in Hixson, Tennessee, Edwards shared a photo of a camper on the water.

Ryan Edwards claimed he killed cats on Instagram

Weeks ago, Ryan Edwards shared a shocking photo on Instagram of dead cats and bragged about their murder. Although Edwards eventually backpedalled on his comments, that didn't stop authorities from diving full-force into an investigation against him. In fact, as The Ashley's Reality Roundup revealed last week, authorities in Tennessee obtained a search warrant after hearing of Edwards' alleged cat killings and reportedly discovered evidence of the reality star's possible bait.

In a statement to WDEF, Bob Citrullo, the director of the Humane Educational Society, said that there were items found on Edwards' property which led him to believe that the killings were done with intent. He also said that it was "safe to say" that Edwards had lured the felines to his home before shooting them dead.

On the official Facebook page of the Humane Educational Society, another statement was released. It read, “The organization does not take [Ryan Edwards]’s claims lightly and has every intention of seeing the former reality star prosecuted to the full extent of the law if his horrific statements are found to be true."

Ryan Edwards is facing a felony charge

Authorities in Tennessee told WDEF that Edwards could be charged with aggravated animal cruelty if he is found guilty.
