Catelynn Lowell entered treatment earlier this year to address her struggles with anxiety and depression and in a new interview, she's speaking out about her decision to get help. As her troubles play out on Teen Mom OG, Lowell is speaking candidly and praising her husband, Tyler Baltierra, for supporting her journey to a healthier place.

“I decided to get help really from just talking with Tyler and realizing that maybe I needed something more intense for myself,” Lowellexplained to OK! Magazine on September 12, adding that she believed it would be good for her to focus on herself without distractions.

Catelynn Lowell welcomed her second child, daughter Novalee Reign, in January of last year and in August of last year, she and Baltierra tied the knot after dating for about a decade. Months later, amid filming on Teen Mom OG season six, Lowell's mental health took a turn for the worse but luckily, she wasn't alone.As Lowell explained to the magazine, Baltierra was very supportive of her decision to enter treatment and stayed at home with their daughter for an entire month as she focused on her health.

As she and her co-stars, including Farrah, Maci and Amber, filmed the sixth season of the MTV series, Lowell traveled to Arizona for a 30-day treatment program in March.

At the time, Lowell released a statement to her fans, via In Touch Weekly, in which she confirmed her struggles with anxiety and depression and said that she couldn't wait to get back to her normal self.

At the same time, Baltierra released a statement of his own, in which he promised to stick by his wife "through sickness and in health." Then, in mid-April, Baltierra returned to social media where he confirmed he and his daughter were traveling to Arizona to pick up his wife and Nova's mother and transport her back to their home in Michigan.
