It's been an up and down "Dancing With The Stars" season 23 for Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte and Cheryl Burke, who are slated to go up against judges' favorites James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess during tonight's one-hour Face-Off extravaganza. With just hours remaining before #TeamCherloch hits the ballroom to perform their third "DWTS" dance together, Lochte tweeted an adorable video asking fans to lend their support.

After reminding fans that the show will only be an hour long --thanks to the Presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump-- Lochte asks "Dancing with the Stars" fans to lend their support, declaring "we need those votes! No more bottom two!" as Burke chants "Team Cherloch! Team Cherloch!"

Although "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews did not name a formal bottom two during the week two results show that saw Disney actor Jake T. Austin and Jenna Johnson get the boot, Lochte and Burke were the last couple standing, so they have more reason for concern than their competitors.

A work in progress?

To date, Ryan Lochte's "DWTS" season 23 journey has had its challenges. Just moments after performing a premiere night foxtrot humorously set to Michael Buble's "Call Me Irresponsible," a pair of men charged the stage to protest Lochte's antics at the Rio Olympics in August. The event left both Lochte and Burke unsettled, and Lochte confessed that the disruption left him feeling "heartbroken." The pair's cast mates showed support for the swimmer by donning pro-Lochte t-shirts as the duo forged on in the competition with a week two "Muppet Show" themed quickstep.

Although they wound up near the bottom of the heap, the judges deemed the effort consistent with what they delivered during week one.

Tonight, the pair will face their biggest challenge yet as they go up against the second-ranked Hinchcliffe and Burgess for a shot at immunity during tomorrow night's "Dancing with the Stars" season 23 week three results show. Both couples will cha cha cha, with Lochte and Burke slated to dance to "If it Ain't Love" and Hinchcliffe and Burgess ready to hoof it to "Big Trouble." The couple who scores fewer judges points will automatically be in jeopardy during tomorrow's elimination.
