Hindi movie "M S Dhoni: The Untold Story" which depicts the real-life story of Indian cricket skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has hit the theaters all around the world on September 30, 2016. The film even months before its release had created immense pre-release hype; thanks to the spectacular teaser and trailer in which Sushant Singh Rajput enacted all unique mannerisms of Mahi with perfection.

Box-office first-day collections update:

The film collected a whopping Rs 21.3 crores in its opening day with 4500 screens release.

With good word of mouth, the earnings are expected to increase during the holiday weekend.

Another factor which attracts more audiences to the theaters is that this film is directed by none other than Neeraj Pandey who has delivered some top-class movies like "Baby", "A Wednesday" and "Special 26" in the past.

Sushant's awesome performance

Sushant Singh has done an incredible performance of Dhoni's character. He really lived as the Indian captain, and at times, we will feel that it is Dhoni who himself has acted in the movie.

The supporting star cast which includes, Disha Patani, Kiara Advani,Bhumika Chawla and Anupam Kher have also done their respective roles with perfection.

The journey of an ordinary boy to the peak of stardom

This film begins with the Dhoni's childhood which features him practicing as a goalkeeper in the school football team. Understanding his talent and mettle, the coach asks him to practice cricket, and soon he debuts as a district player. The first half ends with an interesting punch, as young Dhoni gets a call from the Indian National team.

The second half of the movie narrates the story of Dhoni in the Indian team, his ups and downs along with his parallel love life with Sakshi.

Slow yet realistic narration

Neeraj Pandey has directed the movie in a very realistic way, but sometimes, the audience may feel a bit draggy. But still, the film is entertaining, as it depicts some lovable characters which we have seen in real life.

Expected theatrical collection

Considering the mammoth hype created by the movie, it will surely collect more than Rs 20 Crore by the end of this weekend.
