Harry Styles, one fourth of One Direction, has moved on from breaking records with his band to breaking the internet with his latest photoshoot for Another Man Magazine.

Three sides to every story

One Direction went on an indefinite hiatus earlier this year. Since then, Styles, 22, has been reimagining himself as a solo artist and an actor, soon to be featured in the upcoming World War II film, Dunkirk. Another Man's article marks his first solo cover since One Direction’s indefinite hiatus. Though the issue doesn’t hit stands until Sept. 29, some lucky fans have already gotten their hands on it.

Though the article doesn’t share any new information about Styles, the three covers where Styles manages to look androgynous, adolescent, and even coquettish all at once are what has sent the Internet into a tizzy.

Despite being interviewed by the likes of Paul McCartney and Chelsea Handler, the internet has deemed the high fashion photos to be the issue’s crowning gem.

Each photo cover sports a different aesthetic though all of them harken back to the nostalgic '60s and '70s. In one, he sports a goofy The Beatles-esque haircut, looking boyish in a turtleneck sweater. In the second, his trademark locks make their final appearance with a Fleet Ilya-designed leather collar encircling his neck. The final cover finds him somewhere in between boyish and rogue, hair shorn close, peeking teasingly through a sheer spider web as he channels Sid Vicious if Sid Vicious was dewey-eyed and fit to take home to meet the parents. In keeping with the nostalgia of the photos, Styles gets candid about returning home to Holmes Chapel in Cheshire, England and even his sister, Gemma, makes an appearance in the article to reminisce on their childhood.

One Direction and beyond

He also talks about his bandmates, addressing whether or not the quartet would ever reunite. "I don't know. When we started, people always asked, 'Where do you think you'll be in five years? It's a difficult question to answer. I would never say we'll never do anything again but it's good for us to be exploring different things."

Though many have taken to pondering the meaning of the three personas in the covers—Is this the rebirth of Harry Styles? Do these photos signify the change in then-Harry and now-Harry?—most fans are happy to sigh at Styles' largely topless visage.
