According to a new report from the Soap Opera Digest news team, the General Hospital folks have recently put out another one of their casting callsfor a currently unnamed male. This male is described as being Caucasian and 20 to 25-years-old. In addition to that, he will be brooding and intense, along with the adjectives: troubled and complicated. The description goes on to indicate that underneath his edge, he will be a soulful young man that's just trying to figure things out. So, that's sounds interesting enough.

The new male is speculated to be a Morgan replacement

What's a little bit more interesting, is that the Soap Opera Digest crew thinks this new guy might actually just be a replacement actor for Bryan Craig, who recently quit his role as Morgan. That's right, they think this guy might just be a recasting for Morgan. However, please keep in mind that that is just speculation at this point as nothing has been officially confirmed by ABC or the show itself.

He starts filming in late October

In addition to the description of this new male and all that good stuff, they also revealed that he's scheduled to start filming towards the end of October, so we might see him finally show up onscreen around December 2016 or January 2017.

Who knows? We'll see.

As previously reported, Bryan Craigabandoned the Morgan Corinthos role, claiming that he just felt that it was the right time for him to step away from the show. He had apparently just won a Daytime Emmy for the role earlier this year as "Outstanding Young Actor." His last onscreen appearance is actually scheduled to be in one of the November episodes.

Pretty good Morgan replacement timing

If it turns out that they are replacing him with the casting call malementioned earlier, it would be pretty good timing. In related news, longtime Nikolas Cassadine star, Tyler Christopher, confirmed his permanent departure from the show after some issues with his contract were never resolved.

Also, Tyler Christopher won't be back as Nikolas

Apparently, they had been trying to get his money right all summer long, and had positive expectations that everything would work out, claiming that Tyler would be back soon.

However, it just never happened. The Nikolas character is still left in limbo, right now, as there's currently no word if the General Hospital crew have any plans to recast him. So, we'll just have to wait and see what comes of that. Stay tuned.
