Week 3 of “Dancing With The Stars” will kick off without one familiar face on the stage. Host Tom Bergeron has shared that Erin Andrews will be gone this week and he will be hosting alone Monday night. Why will Erin be gone?

Bergeron shared via Twitter that Andrews would be missing from “Dancing With the Stars” this week because she will be sticking close to boyfriend Jarret Stoll due to a loss in his family. It seems that Jarret's nephew has passed away, so Erin will be with Jarret and on a brief break from “DWTS.”

Who will co-host with Bergeron on 'Dancing With the Stars'?

Tom shared that he will be flying solo Monday night, but “DWTS” will be bringing in someone to co-host with him on Tuesday night for the results show.

However, as of Bergeron's initial tweet, the show had not yet determined who would step in for Andrews on Tuesday.

Many “Dancing With the Stars” fans noted via Twitter that they would love to see former contestant Leah Remini fill in on Tuesday night. Leah has co-hosted before when Erin had to be away and many enjoyed her antics. For now, however, fans will have to stay tuned to see who the show brings in given the short notice.

It's shaping up to be a wild week on 'DWTS'

Week 3 will be a wild week of action because all of the teams have been paired up and will face off against another team in a battle for immunity. Maureen McCormick is battling an injury, as is Jana Kramer, and as PureDWTS notes, some of the pairings will be fierce.

Stoll has played with a number of NHL teams over the years, but he most recently has been working through a professional tryout contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets in Ohio, notes NHL.com.

“Dancing With the Stars” fans flooded Twitter with support for Jarret and Erin in the wake of the news and while “DWTS” fans will miss her this week, they naturally support her decision to be with her boyfriend at this time. There is plenty of action on the way this week as Tom Bergeron leads the way without Erin Andrews by his side for the week and "DWTS" viewers cannot wait to see where things head next.
