A rift in the House of Duggar? Looks like it. TLC is losing tons of advertisers on the Reality TV show "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" for the same reason sponsors fled "19 Kids and Counting." The source of that has a name: Josh Duggar. But what's driving away advertisers, loyal fans, viewers and even some of the Duggar kids isn't brother Josh per se. It's his parents Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar and their epic pushy parenting and bad judgement about their eldest son.

Josh Duggar returns to "Jill & Jessa: Counting On"?

Jim Bob and Michelle want their prodigal son to return to TLC to test drive his sex addiction "sobriety" fresh from rehab (as if).

Josh was never supposed to be in "Counting On"--that was the bargain to get the new show. His humiliated wife and kids may appear but not him. Jinger Duggar is enjoying new love with fiance Jeremy Vuolo. Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald are celebrating husbands, pregnancies, new babies and raising children. None of them, except his parents want Josh turning up to rain on their parades.

The children made it clear to mom and dad that they do not want big brother Josh mucking up their show like he did "19 Kids and Counting." And what parent would foist a pariah like Josh on his older siblings when he sexually molested them as kids? The family forgave Duggar for that but he is still persona non gratis, especially after he tagged adultery, cyber-cheating and a porn addiction to pedophilia. His horrific behavior made the first show unclean, but now mom and dad want to trot him out on his sisters' show?

These two parents need a show called "Runs with Scissors."

TLC isn't "Counting On" much ad support

Sponsors are running from "Counting On" like rats from a drowning ship. Gold Bond, Aspercreme, ACT Kids Rinse, Children’s Nasacort and Allegra said they want nothing to do with the show and have placed it on their "do not buy" list. Home Depot, Trivago and others are pulling up stakes. They know which way the wind is blowing--viewers, even loyal fans, are turning their backs on the Duggar family.

Ostensibly it's because of Josh Duggar but probably in part also because they see that Jim Bob and Michelle are only going to continue to enable their son. So far, they've done nothing but cover his actions and wish them away instead of facing the problems.
