However, when Belle leaves, this time, she'll be going alone. Her daughter Claire and husband Shawn will both be staying around Salem. So, why would Belle leave without her family? It seems "Days of Our Lives" has found a new way to write the character off the show this time around.

Belle heads to China

According to reports, Belle will be leaving Salem and heading to China. Now that Belle and Chad have gotten close, the head of DiMera Enterprises wants his new friend to work for him. Belle will accept the job offer and head to China to do some work for Chad, who will finally start to put the pieces of his life back together after the death of his wife, Abigail.

Another favorite character lost

Over the past two years, "DOOL" has lost a lot of fan favorite characters, with more to come.

Beloved characters such as Sami Brady, EJ DiMera, Kristen DiMera, Will Horton, Abigail Deveraux, Bo Brady, Daniel Jonas, Eric Brady, and more have all exited the soap. Most recently it was announced that Jen Lilley, who plays Theresa Donovan, will also be leaving the show. The details of her departure have yet to be revealed.

A September to remember on 'DOOL.'

Meanwhile, the soap is looking to bring the drama back to Salem this fall.

In addition to Chad's grief over losing Abigail, fans will also see a jailbreak. Three former "Days of Our Lives" villains will return to town to seek revenge on their enemies. Orpheus, Clyde, and Xander will escape their prison cells to cause chaos on Brady and Theresa's wedding day.

Kayla fights for her life

All the while, Kayla Brady will be dealing with a life-threatening injury. Can Kayla pull through and return to her husband Steve and son Joey?

"Days of Our Lives" fans will have to tune in this fall to see how it all goes down.
