When will Eric Brady return?

When "Queen Sugar" was wrapping up Vaughn got the chance to talk with theexecutives and writers of "Days of Our Lives."With the details worked out, his first appearance will be on January 17, 2017.According toEntertainment WeeklyVaughn is proud of his time on "Days of Our Lives."Instead of just taking a role and portraying a character he wants to create a presence for his character that will represent both the character and himself.

Eric Brady was a priest that was very involved with his parish as well as the school that was part of the church. He was doing so great that someone had to target him to get back at his mother, Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Kristen Dimera (Eileen Davidson) drugged him and raped him as she recorded the incident. Through editing she made it appear that Eric was a willing participant. Not only did it damage his reputation, it messed Eric up emotionally. He eventually left the priesthood.

Eric left under tragic circumstances

Unable to find love, Eric was a lost soul in his last scenes on "Days of Our Lives."The final twist before he left was when he caused the car accident that killed his best friend Dr.Daniel Jonas(Shawn Christian). The guilt he carried for driving while intoxicated was more than he could bear. He was eventually sentenced to a five year prison sentence for Vehicular Manslaughter.
