A work of art

Each of the artists featured on the program will be given the opportunity to discuss their unique artwork and what inspires them to create it.

For example, Nick Cave creates "Soundsuits" surreally majestic objects blending fashion and sculpture that originated as metaphorical suits of armor in response to the Rodney King beatings and have evolved into vehicles for empowerment. Another artist, Chris Ware is known for his New Yorker magazine covers and is recognized for his comical art form. Barbara Kasten combines photographs and video projections in her studio that evoke an experience of movement through modernist architecture.
