About the movie

In the 123-minute movie, Mark Darcy leaves Bridget Jones. At 40 and single again, Bridget  thinks she has everything under control and she will be fine. She focuses on her career as a top news producer. Her life begins to change when she meets and has a one-night stand with handsome Jack Qwant. Bridget is completely happy until she discovers she is pregnant. That wouldn't be so bad except Bridget doesn't know if the baby's father is Mark or Jack. During most of the movie, Bridget struggles with not knowing which man is the father of her unborn child. What is interesting is that both men claim to be the father.

About the cast

Oscar winner Zellweger is an American who moved to London to prepare for her role in the movie. She learned to speak by listening to others, and she worked with a dialect coach. The star of the movie is not pregnant in real life and has never had a baby. She says she sympathizes with pregnant women because of what she had to go through just pretending. She wore a prosthetic bump for the role of a pregnant woman. She visited with a midwife and watched a lot of videos about the different stages of pregnancies.

Colin Firth is a 56-year-old actor who has co-starred with Zellweger before. As usual, his performance is superb. Patrick Dempsey is well-known for playing Dr. Derek Shepherd on Grey's Anatomy for 10 years. He has a different role this upcoming movie. However, it is a very good role for the 50-year-old actor who is a newcomer to the Bridget Jones movies.
