Actor Brad Pitt continues to fight against accusations of alcohol, drug and child abuse that surfaced after wife Angelia Jolie filed from the actor on Sept. 19. The movie star reportedly refuses to say anything in poor taste about the mother of his six children and his partner for 12 years.

Pitt's reported improper behavior has been named the as central cause of the split between himself and his longtime love. The couple were together for 10 years before tying the knot.

They are the parents of six children; Maddox Jolie-Pitt, Pax Jolie-Pitt, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt. According to a story published by Entertainment Tonight, the actor refuses to demonstrate any smear tactics towards his former wife as their Divorce is played out in the media.

A source close to the actor reported to the entertainment website that Pitt will continue to take a high road as the proceedings continue.

"He will only say positive things about [the] mother [of his children]," the source said to "Entertainment Tonight." "He has also made it clear to friends to not say anything negative about her. He continues to hope that there is an amicable resolution in the interest of the kids."

Brad Pitt is being accused of drunken behavior during a private flight from Europe with his family and for both verbally and physically abusing the couple's 15-year-old son Maddox.

"People Magazine" reported that an investigation has begun by the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services to check into the claims of abuse against Maddox. The department became involved after an anonymous tip that someone close to the reported incident saw the child being harmed. Upon filing formal divorce papers, Angelina Jolie has requested full custody of the couple's six children, with Pitt being granted visitation rights.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have posed a united front for years, particularly in parenting their large brood.

Their official marriage came about after Jolie once remarked that the children wanted them to marry after being longtime partners for 10 years. The couple eventually included the kids in every aspect of their romantic wedding at the Chateau Miraval in France, including special roles within the ceremony for each member of the family.

Us Magazine reported that during the family-driven ceremony in 2014, that the couple's eldest sons Maddox and Pax walked Jolie down the aisle.

Daughter Shiloh and son Knox were ring bearers, and daughters Zahara and Vivienne adored the aisle with rose petals as their mother approached Pitt at the head of the aisle.

Pitt released a statement after Jolie's divorce filing was made public where he asked for privacy for the sake of his children.
