The preview from season 7 of The Walking Dead was recently aired during a preview on AMC on Sunday night and it’s making Daryl Dixon fans extremely nervous. As everyone remembers, someone died at the end of season 6 under the heavy touch of Negan’s barbed wire wrapped bat. Speculation has been rife ever since with fans hating that cliffhanger ending and wondering which of their favorite characters is dead.

Dwight is wearing Daryl’s vest in The Walking Dead season 7

Now, we get to see Austin Amelio in the role of Dwight, pushing Daryl’s famous chopper around among a group of zombies, while revealing the fact that he is wearing Daryl’s leather vest complete with angel wings.

As a well-ranked member of the Saviors, the fact that Dwight is wearing what definitely appears to be Daryl’s vest is somewhat significant and nerve-wracking.

Entertainment Weekly spoke to Jeffrey Dean Morgan recently about his character, Negan and Morgan basically said that it is Negan’s world now and the first half of season 7 will show us Negan, wreaking havoc. He even added that some of our favorite and much-loved characters won’t be around anymore and that it will end badly for them, as they will be “super-vulnerable and victimized.” Morgan ended by saying that the show has been literally flipped upside down and will have a whole different feeling to past seasons.

So who is dead in season 7 of The Walking Dead?

While everyone still speculates as to who is actually dead and whether it’s Daryl, in the comics created by Robert Kirkman, on which the TV series is based, Glenn’s character was killed by Negan’s beloved baseball bat.

However, as noted by Deadline, both Norman Reedus and Steven Yuen have been spotted recently in George on the set of The Walking Dead. As had been seen before, the show does tend to deviate from the comic book series on occasion, probably to keep fans on their toes.

The new season ofThe Walking Dead will premiere on AMC at 9 p.m.

on October 23. In the meantime, you can watch the clip from season 7 in the video below.
