The Walking Dead fans were not pleased with the season 6 cliffhanger. There were some who even threatened to stop watching the show. However, others are still loyal to the TWD franchise. In either case, season 7 is premiering on AMC in a few months. Creator Robert Kirkman recently spoke about what to expect.

Who did Negan kill on 'The Walking Dead'?

This is the biggest question TWD fans have. Even though there are theories and speculation, viewers won't know for sure until season 7 premieres this fall on AMC. Even though there are some who are angry that season 6 ended in a cliffhanger, it does make fans want to tune in to find out which character is dead.

Negan's kill is only the beginning

For those that thought Negan's big kill is the biggest thing that will happen in season 7, think again. Those that have read Robert Kirkman's comic books know what is coming. Trust us when we say things can and will get a lot worse.

'TWD' fans are distracted by the cliffhanger

In an interview with Screen Rant, Robert Kirkman stated that viewers are distracted by season 6 ending the way it did. The 12 minutes of Negan is just the beginning. Expect to see a little bit of him in nearly every episode in the upcoming season.

What else to expect in season 7 of 'The Walking Dead'

The upcoming episodes will not just feature Rick Grimes and Negan, but new survivors and communities as well. Also, expect to see at least two new leaders. One is confirmed to be Ezekiel from the Kingdom. The other was not revealed, but a casting call for a leader named Brion was issued. The casting notice stated that the actor could be male or female, leading some to wonder if Alpha from the Whisperers would be introduced.

What do you think of what Robert Kirkman had to say about the season 6 cliffhanger being a distraction to fans? Do you think there is any validity to what the TWD creator's statement? What do you believe is going to happen with Rick Grimes, Negan, and the rest of the characters when the series returns to AMC?

The Walking Dead season 7 premieres on October 23.
