Fans are thrilled that the popular Fox show Prison Break is making a huge comeback after so much time. Now producers are ensuring more thrills and spills and general heart-tugging drama in the coming season 5. Digital Spy quotes actor Dominic Purcell (who plays Lincoln Burrows) as saying that the new season will take a bolder approach to the issues, as the popular characters will be fighting the realities of terrorism. According to Purcell, this version of Prison Break will be more “worldly” and realistic, as the characters will be dealing with ISIS and ISA.

According to him, it is going to be really “heavy sh*t.”

Yemen prison break makes things that much harder

The latest prison break involves Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), who has miraculously survived the ending of the last season and has ended up in a prison in Yemen. As reported by iTech Post, the introduction of the IS terrorists in the show make it both more terrifying and also more realistic as compared to current day events. What makes things harder for Michael is the fact that not only does he have to break out of the prison, but he also has to get out of Yemen, which is no easy task.

It will be interesting to see how the show explains Michael’s miraculous survival after what was thought to be his death at the end of season four.

Purcell went on to say that his character’s task of breaking his brother Michael out of what is thought to be one the “worst prisons in the world” takes the show to a whole new level. For fans, of course, it will be great to see Michael, his brother Dominic and wife Dr.
