Despite rumors that Loki had done away with Odin for good (or stuffed him in a closet), Anthony Hopkins has indeed reprised his role as Odin, All-Father in the upcoming Thor movie.

Odin Is Back!

But here's the twist: Odin who was last seen on Asgard and talking to Loki who was disguised as an Asgardian guard in the second installment ( in Thor: The Dark World) has been spotted on the streets of New York, with the appearance of a crazy vagabond as per the image Australian photographer Glenn Hunt posted on Instagram.

Does this mean Tom Hiddleston's Loki has banished Odin to earth, similar to what Odin himself did to Thor as punishment in the first movie? Or did Odin escape from prison with the help of some 'dark energy' to come to Midgard and warn his son Thor of the impending Ragnarok that Loki's actions have set to motion?

Is Doctor Strange On The Team Too?

Earlier this week, other set images from Thor:Ragnarok surfaced on the internet, which included a picture of Thor and Loki sitting on a transformed New York set.

There's also some talk on Twitter about the latest Thor movie being connected to the upcoming MCU film, Doctor Strange starring Benedict Cumberbatch in the lead. Although it is unlikely that Cumberbatch will make an appearance in the Thor film, there will definitely be some reference to his character.

However there is a rumor that Thor will encounter Odin on earth. But then again, Marvel President Kevin Feige has set that most of Thor 3 will be set in the outer cosmos, similar to Guardians Of The Galaxy and Thor was last seen traveling back to Asgard in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, following a nightmarish prophetic vision.

Thor: Ragnarokreleasesin theaters on November 3, 2017 and will have Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk embarking on a cosmic road trip. The film is directed by Taika Waititi and also stars Tom Hiddleston as everyone's favourite villiain, Loki along withIdris Elba as Heimdall, Anthony Hopkins as Odin and Cate Blanchett as Hela.
