Bethenny Frankel may have seen the last of her reality television career. Following the conclusion of filming on the latest season of The Real Housewives of New York City, season eight, the Skinnygirl founder and newly divorced mom spoke out, claiming that she's left the Bravo reality series behind.

“I’ve been definitely distancing myself from the show this summer," Frankel revealed during an interview with Entertainment Tonight earlier this week, via All About the Real Housewives. “I’m glad that the audience is enjoying it, but I’ve left it behind."

Last month, Bethenny Frankel and her co-stars filmed the season eight reunion, which Frankel claimed was one of the hardest episodes they've filmed "by far."

“Something very dramatic happened … that questioned my integrity.

If someone questions my business or my integrity I take it really seriously,” she said.

During season eight, Bethenny Frankel and Sonja Morgan found themselves in a bit of a scandal when Morgan announced plans for a restaurant named Tipsy Girl, which was oddly similar to the name of Frankel's liquor brand, Skinnygirl. There were even legal threats made, although nothing appears to have come of them at this point.

Bethenny Frankel was an original cast member of 'RHONY'

When The Real Housewives of New York City began airing on Bravo in 2008 as the second Real Housewives franchise (the first was based in Orange County, California), Bethenny Frankel was one of the show's stars.

Ramona Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps, Jill Zarin and Alex McCord were also featured on season one.

Following her role on season three of the series, Frankel embarked on her own series with the network before ultimately choosing to return to The Real Housewives of New York City before season seven. Her spinoff, Bethenny Getting Married and later, Bethenny Ever After, aired for three seasons.
