Finding Prince Charming is the first gay reality dating show where all the contestants are men competing for love and affection of another man. The show premieres on Logo TV on September 8, 2016. Hosted by Lance Bass, Finding Prince Charming is the gay version of ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette hosted by Chris Harrison. Bass has been promoting the show because he is excited to be part of the first show of its kind.

About the show

All will compete for the affection of the eligible gay man. The show will be patterned a lot after what happens on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The main difference is that the contestants and the one they are longing for are all male. The suitors are eliminated one by one until a relationship is established. The Bachelor has been successful for 20 seasons and The Bachelorette has been successful for 12 seasons. Executives are hopeful that Finding Prince Charming will become successful as well.

About the network

Logo TV is a digital cable and satellite television channel that was first launched on June 30, 2005. The network airs programs aimed towards the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community (LGBT). On February 21, 2012, Logo TV announced that it would change its programming strategy to include general lifestyle subjects. The network was smart to air its new gay reality dating show when ABC wasn't airing its dating shows.

About the host

Lance Bass, whose real name is James Lance Bass, is a pop singer, dancer, actor, film and television producer, and author.

He became famous as the bass singer for the boy band NSYNC. Bass has two production companies so he is quite capable of hosting the new show. Lance competed on Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars. He and partner Lacy Schwimmer finished in third place. The 37-year-old is openly gay, marrying his partner, Michael Turchin, on December 20, 2014. Their ceremony was the first gay wedding to be televised on cable television.

About the contestants

The contestants have a few things in common.

They are all single gay men looking for love. Bass said he is concerned that the 13 men will look for love among themselves instead of vying for the attention of the designated prince charming. The prince charming is 33-year-old interior designer Robert Sepulveda, Jr. who was born in Puerto Rico but now lives in Atlanta. The contestants come from all walks of life. They include a personal trainer, a hair stylist, a model, an event planner, a real estate agent, a nanny, and a Sunday school teacher.
