The Dancing With The Stars 2016 cast will feature yet another blast from the past in the form of two-time Mirrorball Trophy winner Cheryl Burke, according to an Aug. 28report fromfan site PureDWTS. An afternoon tweetconfirmed that Burke, who last appeared on the reality dance competition's 19th season, will return to the ballroom to partner Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte when DWTS season 23premieres on Sept. 12.

DWTSfall 2016 cast to feature several returning pros

The 32-year old Burke, who appeared on 18 seasons of Dancing with the Stars before departing to take part in NBC's I Can Do That, is far from the only former pro to return for the franchise's upcoming fall season.

Other old favorites returning to the fold include six-time Mirrorball Trophy Derek Hough, who PureDWTS speculates may be paired up with actress Marilu Henner; season 20 champion Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who will work with model and fashion designer Amber Rose; Emma Slater, who's supposedly set to work with former Texas Governor Rick Perry; Allison Holker, who's apparently paired up with Grammy winner Kenneth 'Babyface' Edmonds; and Strictly Come Dancingfan favorite Gleb Savchenko, whose sole appearance on the American version of Dancing with the Stars came during season 10 when he coached Real Housewife Lisa Vanderpump.

Other dancers who are likely to be part of the DWTS 2016 cast include Valentin Chmerkovskiy, who will allegedly team up with Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez; Sharna Burgess, who sources suggest is paired up with IndyCar driver James Hinchcliffe; Lindsay Arnold, who is likely partnering former NFL star Calvin Johnson; Artem Chigvintsev, who is allegedly teamed up with The Brady Bunch star Maureen McCormick; Jenna Johnson, who's been linked to Disney star Jake T.

Austin; and Sasha Farber, who's predicted to dance with Little Women: LA star Terra Jole.

Although season 19 winner Witney Carson was initially introduced as a member of the DWTS 2016 cast, no detailsregarding her potential celebrity partner have emerged to date. The status of show favorite Mark Ballas, who finished second last season with UFC star Paige VanZant, is also unknown.

Dancing with the Stars 2016 premieres Sept. 12 on ABC. The full cast will be formally revealed during the Aug. 30 episode of Good Morning America.
