When the Dancing With The Stars fall 2016 cast is formally revealed on Aug. 30, model, fashion designer, and actress Amber Rose will be among the celebrity participants introduced to America. E! News broke the story on Aug. 23, and several additional sources then confirmed her status as a Mirrorball Trophy hopeful. ABC does not comment on DWTS casting rumors.

Amber Rose to join DWTS fall 2016 cast

The 32-year old Rose, who was previously romantically linked to Kanye West and has a son with ex-husband Wiz Khalifa, is the star of her own VH1 talk show aptly entitled The Amber Rose Show. Just yesterday, she revealed via Instagram that she'd started MUVA Management, which aims to "help... women find success in the entertainment industry." She is also an author, and the creator of MuvaMoji, a chart-topping emoji app.

Others bound for Dancing with the Stars season 23?

Although Amber Rose is the first celebrity to be confirmed as part of the DWTS season 23 cast, others have been tabbed as likely candidates to take a handful of the 12 remaining slots. Included in the mix, according to multiple reports, are soap actress Emma Samms, The Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher, and The Fosters star Jake T. Austin. Olympic super star Simone Biles, who scored an incredible five gymnastics medals earlier this month at the Rio Games, expressed interest in joining up, but didn't think she'd have time in her schedule to take on the challenge until spring.

The Dancing with the Stars season 23 lineup may still be mostly a mystery, but the pro cast is coming along nicely, according to a surprise morning reveal by Good Morning America that unveiled eight of the 13 participants. The partial list of pros who will hoof it for Mirrorball glory includes Witney Carson, Sharna Burgess, Lindsay Arnold, Allison Holker, Gleb Savchenko, Artem Chigvintsev, Sasha Farber, and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Notably not included on the list is newlywed Kym Johnson, who recently tied the knot with former DWTS partner Robert Herjavec.
