Blink 182 reigns over Alternative Radio for a fifth week with “Bored To Death” (Bored). According to impressions totals from Mediabase’s (MB) Alternative Airplay Chart (AAC), “Bored” gains 120,000 in audience to finish the tracking week with 13.154 million impressions.

Thanks to an impressive audience gain of 1.383 million from the week before, the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ (RHCP) “Dark Necessities” (Necessities) finally climbs past the Lumineers to reach the runner up position. However, “Necessities” audience total of 12.189 million still places the RHCP 965,000 impressions behind Blink's “Bored.”

Head and the Heart slip past RHCP, scores new AAAAC Number one

The Head and the Heart’s (HATH) “All We Ever Knew” (Knew) squeaks past the RHCP’s “Necessities” by a mere 5,000 impressions to reach Number One this week on the AAA Airplay Chart (AAAAC).HATH gains 35,000 listeners, while the RHCP lose 64,000. This caps "Necessities" run on top of at AAA music affiliates at six weeks, and allows a newer band of Celebrities to score their first Number One song.
