Alexis Bellino and Peggy Tanous started off season six of The Real Housewives of Orange County as friends but after having a falling out mid-way through the season, things between them took a major turn for the worse when Tanous' past relationship with Bellino's husband, Jim, was exposed.

In a new interview with Bravo's The Daily Dish, Tanous explained why she never informed her friend Bellino of her romance with Jim, claiming he had asked her to keep the relationship under wraps. "I wanted to respect her marriage, and he's the husband, and let him, if he wants to tell her, he can tell her," Tanous explained.

After learning of the romance during The Real Housewives of Orange County season six, Alexis Bellino's friendship with Tanous came to an abrupt end and Tanous isn't too surprised. As she revealed to The Daily Dish, the information came as a "big blow" and she simply couldn't move past it.

Alexis Bellino and Peggy Tanous aren't feuding but they also aren't close

Unfortunately, news of Tanous' past relations with Jim were too much for their friendship to handle, but at this point, they aren't feuding.

That said, they aren't close friends and likely won't be anything soon.

"I don't think we would ever pursue a friendship because I think to [Alexis Bellino] it's just a weirdness that like, 'Oh, this person used to date my husband,'" Tanous explained. "I don't have a weirdness with it, but I think she does."

According to Tanous, her romance with Jim was nothing serious, but it was enough to put a damper on her friendship with Bellino.

At that point, both Bellino and her on-and-off friend, Gretchen Rossi, left the show, which made room for new housewives Heather Dubrow and Shannon Beador, who both remain on the series. As for Tanous, she appeared on the Bravo reality series for a season and a half before quitting.
