Adrienne Bailon, one of the co-hosts of The Real, is engaged to Israel Houghton. They were vacating in Paris when the gospel singer popped the question, and the talk show host said, "Yes." Adrienne made the announcement herself on Instagram on Friday, August 12, 2016. The photo showed a huge diamond ring estimated to cost about $750,000, according to some jewelers. The gorgeous engagement ring is described as an 8-carat emerald cut diamond embraced by a halo of French-pave set diamonds set in platinum. The photo also showed the Eifel Tower in the background.

Adrienne and Israel's journey

Adrienne is a 32-year-old former Cheetah girl, and Israel is a 45-year-old Christian singer.

The newly engaged couple had to put up with a scandal when they first went public about their relationship last April. That's because Israel had filed for a divorce just one month prior to the announcement about his relationship with Adrienne. Houghton had been estranged from his wife of 20 years long before he began dating Bailon. The public criticized Bailon and accused her of breaking up Houghton's marriage. Both of them spoke out on social media that Bailon had nothing to do with the Grammy Award-winner leaving his wife with whom he has three young children.

Adrienne's first engagement

Bailon's engagement to Houghton is her second engagement in recent years. She was previously engaged to her longtime boyfriend and music executive Lenny Santiago from February 2015 to September 2015.

She made the announcement on The Real when she got engaged. Bailon and Santiago broke off their engagement after only seven months. She also made the announcement on The Real that she and Santiago had broken up. They had been in a six-year relationship.

Bailon didn't wait long to become engaged again. The Real is on hiatus for the summer. When the talk show returns in September, that is sure to be a topic of conversation. In the meantime, she and Houghton have been sharing photos and details of the engagement on social media. They seem to have put all the negative talk to rest.
