Actors are usually identified as the characters they play. Charlie Hunnam is best known for his long-time role as Jax Teller on Sons of Anarchy.

The persona of Teller, the bad boy biker, quickly grabbed the hearts of the female audience. Hunnam played the part of Teller very well, even disguising his accent, by talking in a very hushed, low tone that many of his female fans came to love.

Fans mourned the loss of Jax Teller

Fans were horrified, and some even cried when the last Sons of Anarchy showed Jax meeting his fate much the same as his father, John Teller, did.

The scene where Jax is riding his father’s motorcycle head on into the approaching semi, arms in the air and smiling peacefully, will live on in his fan's minds forever.

According to many, Charlie Hunnam is Jax Teller. They relate him to an outlaw biker, who tries hard to do good things but always ends up doing bad things, all in the name of family and love.

Will fans accept the change from a leather vest to a robe and crown? One avid SOA fan has a different view on the subject. Robin Bergman, of Nebraska, states:

“I think he can pull the role off.

He killed Jax Teller off at the end anyway, and even though people may still think of him as Jax, this would be a good opportunity for him to show his acting diversity so that he isn't always deemed Jax Teller.” It remains to be seen, as Charlie Hunnam, aka Jax Teller, takes on the role of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

Will SOA fans watch King Arthur: Legend of the Sword?

A large portion of the Sons of Anarchy viewers are from the biker community, much like most who watched Full Throttle Saloon, were bikers.

They relate to motorcycle clubs, and the world inside outlaw bike clubs. Writer, Kurt Sutter captured the lives of the outlaw bikers right down to casting the perfect people for the roles.

Taking Hunnam into an entirely different world and character role is a risky choice, but then Kurt Sutter is best known for risky choices in his writing.

Those waiting to see how Hunnam does in this role will have to wait awhile longer, as the movie is not set to hit box offices until March 24, 2017.

In the meantime, die-hard Teller fans can always hope that Sutter is indeed working on a prequel to Sons of Anarchy, as has been rumored.

Rumor even has it that Hunnam may come back and play the part of his father. It has also been rumored that Brad Pitt may play the part of John Teller, and Hunnam won’t return at all. There appears to be a lot of wait and see going on with Sutter’s projects and chances are that’s how he likes it.
