The official release date of the Netflix revival of "Gilmore Girls" has been announced. "Gilmore Girls" fans mark your calendars for Friday, November 25th. Be prepared to be totally engulfed the entire weekend with Thanksgiving festivities, Black Friday shopping, and binge watching.

'Gilmore Girls' revival just in time for the holidays

Netflix will be releasing all four 90-minute "chapters" of the "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" and will debut on the popular streaming network at midnight Pacific Time.

Each of the four 90-minute chapters will cover each season of the year. You can look for all your old favorite character's roles to be reprised by the original cast members including, Melissa McCarthy, Scott Patterson, Rose Abdoo, Sally Struthers, Kelly Bishop, Milo Ventimiglia, David Sutcliffe, Jared Padalecki, Matt Czuchry, Liza Weil, Sean Gunn, Keiko Agena, Danny Strong, Vanessa Marano, and Yanic Truesdale.

R.I.P. Richard Gilmore, gone but not forgotten

One main character will be missing, but not forgotten from the series.

Actor Edward Herrmann, who played Richard Gilmore sadly passed away in 2014, but will be fondly remembered by his TV widow, daughter, and granddaughter throughout the series. The Netflix revived mini-series was created and written by Amy Sherman-Palladino and her partner, Daniel Palladino. At this time there have not been many details spilled as to the show's plotline, but we are expecting details to begin emerging soon.
