The first film was released in 2014 and was directed by Matthew Vaughn, the crime film featured the famous Colin Firth as a secret agent. It was very successful and grossed over $414 million worldwide, the film was so popular that producer Vaughn has decided to release a second film.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is due to be released on the 16th June 2017 and will see the return of Firth’s protégée ‘Eggsy’ played by Taron Egerton, as well as actors Mark Strong and Vinnie Jones.

Other big names joining the film include Elton John, Channing Tatum, Halle Berry and Julianne Moore. The exciting new film is set to star Game of Thrones star Pedro Pascal who played Oberyn Martell in the 4th season of the HBO hit series.

Colin Firth’s return is confirmed by new co-star Pedro Pascal

The first teaser for Colin’s return for the Kingsman: The Golden Circle appeared back in April when the film’s poster was released revealing Harry’s glasses and read “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Colin Firth’s character’s means of return is still unknown

It was thought that Colin’s return might be in the form of flashbacks due to him being killed off in the previous film, but the photo confirms that this not the case. The big question now is to how Firth’s character Harry Hart survived being shot in the previous movie, especially considering he was shot in the head!

One of the theories is that the character that was shot was in fact not Harry Hart and was instead someone disguised as Harry as a decoy for Valentine’s crew. Either that or Harry received immediate medical attention and was miraculously saved from dying from the bullet wound. The theories continue but fans will just have to wait until next summer in order to find out how producerMatthew Vaughn plays the ‘Bridget Jones’ actor’s return.
