Blink 182 take over the Number One spot on the Alternative Radio Chart this week with “Bored to Death.” This song, which also which ranks at number seven on this week’s Active Rock Radio Chart,gained only 88,000 impressions compared to the previous seven day tracking period, and finishes the week with a rather anemic 12.221 million impressions.

However, the Lumineers’Ophelia” lost over 1.3 million in audience over the past week at Alternative Radio affiliates. This allowed “Bored to Death” to take advantage of the Lumineers’ dive in audience and move into the top spot at the format by a margin of 213,000 impressions.

RHCP remainat the top of AAA for third week

Meanwhile, the Red Hot Chili Peppers (RHCP) remainat thetop of the Adult Album Alternative (AAA) Airplay Chartfor a third week with “Dark Necessities.” The RHCP’s lose a rather modest 53,000 impressions to finish the week with an audience of 2.163 million, and maintain a substantial lead of 317,000 impressions over the runner up at AAA.

Also this week, “Dark Necessities” ranks in the Top Five at all three Rock Formats. In addition to the RHCP’s Number One ranking at AAA, “Dark Necessities” spends a second week at Number One at Active Rock radio and rebounds 7-4 on Alternative.

The RHCP also achieved this amazing feat two weeks ago.
