With the premiere of Big Brother 2016 set for June 22 on CBS, the network at long last revealed the identities of the season's 12 houseguests on June 14. So who will pack their bags and move in with complete strangers in a week's time? Will the popular reality show's 18th season really feature just a dozen hopefuls? Read on for the scoop.

The ladies of BB18

The six ladies who are slated to wheedle, manipulate, and scheme for a shot at the $500,000 BB18 grand prize range in age from 23 to 32, and hail from a selection of cities from Charlotte to Caracas, Venezuela. Included are:

  • Bronte D'Acquisto, 26, student
  • Zakiyah Everette, 24, preschool teacher
  • Natalie Negrotti, 26, event coordinator
  • Bridgette Dunning, 24, traveling nurse
  • Tiffany Rousso, 32, high school teacher
  • Michelle Meyer, 23, nutritionist

Rousso is the younger sister of season 17's Vanessa Rousso, who finished third behind winner Steve Moses.

The men of Big Brother 2016

On the guys' side, the houseguests range in age from 23 to 50. The roster features:

  • Paul Abrahamian, 23, clothing designer
  • Victor Arroyo, 25, gym manager
  • Corey Brooks, 25, baseball coach
  • Paulie Calafiore, 27, DJ
  • Jozea Flores, 25, make-up artist
  • Glenn Garcia, 50, dog groomer and ex-police detective

Calafiore may look familiar to regular Big Brother viewers, as his older brother Cody placed second during the series' 16th season. Interestingly, the elder Calafiore lost the season to police sergeant Derrick Levasseur, who concealed his occupation from the houseguests and used his professional chops to manipulate his way to the win. If Garcia --who was a police detective in the Bronx-- uses the same strategy, season 18 could well see a similar outcome.

Given the relatively tiny 12-member cast, it seems likely that a twist will add more players to the mix, but there are no details available as of press time.

The last season to include an initial cast of just 12 houseguests --season 14-- also featured returning guests as coaches who went on to re-enter the game. This seems a likely scenario for BB18

Big Brother 2016 premieres June 22 with the first episode of a two-night premiere on CBS.
