Miss USA 2016 was elected on June 5th in Las Vegas andsurprisinglythe winner is anArmy Reserve officer. Her name is Deshauna Barber, 26-year-old, from theDistrict of Columbia, her beauty and intelligence can make her the next Miss Universe. Although very beautiful and educated women participate in this contest, Barber has many virtues to win this competition. She breaks all stereotypes: people never imagine that a soldier can be a beauty queen and never imagine that a beauty queen can be strong and smart like Barber.

Family heritage

Barber comes from a family with military tradition: her brothers are in the Army and her father was sent to Iraq after the attacks of September 11, 2001.

She loves the military lifestyle because she grew up with that thoroughness and feels comfortable. She is a caring girl: her job in the Army is to help psychologically the soldiers who were sent into troubled spots, in order to prevent suicides. She carries blood patriotism and serving others, which make her an example for younger girls, who sometimes do not know what to do with their lives.

A normal girl

As any girl, Deshauna likes walking, dancing, and hanging out with her friends. She also enjoys spending time with her family, who she really misses when working. She knows the country very well, and she has lived in several states, which givse her a very broad view of the country. Surely this was an advantage over the others competitors in the pageant.

Herlast answer in the competition was overwhelming: 'Gender does not limit us in this country.' That statement no doubt sealed the victory.

Barber is the first soldierto becomes Miss USA, which shows how versatile winners can be in their background and experience. The Miss Universe contest has amazing competitors, but Barber is a very interesting woman who will grab the attention of the judges during the competition.

Anyway, Barber will have to prepare to win the pageant, but she has already made great strides in that regard, and to that end.
