The Voice 2016 continues May 16 on NBC as the eight contestants still hoping to snag the season 10 title hit the stage once again to sing for America's votes and shots at earning iTunes vote multipliers. A series of updates made to the iTunes store the morning of the show revealed the set list for the live broadcast, and it includes a number of intriguing selections from across the decades.

Blake Shelton's trio goes mostly country

With three aspiring singers still eligible to walk away with the big prize, country super star Blake Shelton's team looks solid heading into the semifinals.

Of the three, May 10 Twitter Instant Save winner Paxton Ingram has the most interesting song choice in Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)." Anything can happen when America votes, but given that Ingram hasn't fared especially well with iTunes voters this season, he could be sent packing unless he knocks this unusual choice out of the park.

Team Blake's other two hopefuls --country singers Mary Sarah and Adam Wakefield-- are scheduled to stay in their genre lane, with the former taking on the Randy Travis hit "I Told You So" and the latter, Shelton's "I'm Sorry" from his 2011 album Red River Blue. Either could well score iTunes bonuses for their picks.

Team Christina brings emotion

When it comes to the two artists still representing pop diva Christina Aguilera on The Voice 2016, the word of the evening will likely be "emotion." While ostensible competition front-runner Alisan Porter takes on a mega classic in the Eagles' 1973 smash hit "Desperado," Bryan Bautista will be charged with performing a song originally released by Aguilera herself: the 2006 single "Hurt."

Adam, Pharrell go for power

The final three members of the top eight sing under the guidance of either Maroon5 frontman Adam Levine or R&B super star Pharrell Williams, and all three will attempt to score the favor of viewers via songs originally performed by powerful vocalists.

While Team Pharrell's Hannah Huston takes on the Percy Sledge classic "When a Man Loves a Woman," Team Adam's Laith Al-Saadi will put his spin on Adele's "One and Only." Team Adam's Shalyah Fearing, finally, is scheduled to perform Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going."
