There are many different opinions when it comes to the Alaskan Bush People. While the show has several facebook fan groups, it also has several facebook groups solely dedicated to proving the Brownfamily is nothing but a fraud.

Family tree

The Brownfamily consists of father Billy Brown, mother Ami Brown, and their seven children, Matt, Bam Bam, Bear, Gabe, Noah, Snowbird, and Rainy. Six of the seven childrenwould be considered grown adults by almost anyone's standards, but none of them act it. Billy Brown also has a daughter from a previous marriage that is rumored to be coming to the show this season, but she hasn't arrived as of yet.

It looks like she will be making her first appearance on next week's episode.

The entire Brownfamily lives together in their self-made city, "Browntown". Most of the childrenare old enough to be dating and moving out on their own, but it doesn't appear there is much hope for that. None of the children are dating, and their rather remote location doesn't present many opportunities for that to happen. Their often strange demeanors aren't helping the situation either.

Odd dynamics

The Brownfamily functions as if the children were between five and seventeen.

Billy is very much the father figure of the family. He commands all of the childrenon what they are to do. He also often has to discipline the children when they start rough housing around like 10-year-olds.

None of the Brownchildren are expected to financially contribute to the family. Money seems to be an issue, as Billy Brown and Josh "Bam Bam" Brown were recently served a sentence of 30 days in jail for illegally claiming an Alaskan tax refund. The two ended upserving their sentence with monitored ankle bracelets, instead of actual jail time.
