G V Prakash Kumar's new movie 'Pencil' hit the screens all around Tamil Nadu on April 22, 2016.

The film which is touted to be a romantic tale in the backdrop of school has succeeded in impressing both audiences and critics, and it is slowly turning out to be the third hit in a row for GVP after 'Darling' and 'Trisha Illana Nayanthara'.

According to initial reports from Tamilnadu, most of the multiplexes have witnessed an attendance of 70% and more which is quite good for a movie which has a star with less power in the lead role.

"Pencil" showcases a thriller story. A school witnesses a series of murders, and the mystery affects the students in it.

The main crux of the story has sufficient amount of thrills and chills blended with adequate romance.

M Nagaraj has directed this musical thriller. The film has thrill and excitement, which will surely impress young audiences of the state.

"Pencil" was released in more than 300 screens in India. Unfortunately, it will not have release in the U.S. If the film enjoys a decent run in India, then makers will release it in the United States in the coming weeks.

Sri Divya is the female lead character. The scintillating onscreen chemistry between G V Prakash Kumar and Sri Divya is one of the major highlights of this film.

It is a sheer treat to watch the duo on the screens, and they will find the right place in your heart even after leaving the cinemas.

Mani, a former associate of Gautham Menon, has proved his mettle through this movie. It is well crafted, and he has added adequate commercial elements which will make the flick a safe bet in the box-office.

G V Prakash Kumar himself has composed the songs and BGM. Songs are already chartbusters while the lovely BGM provides a beautiful feel throughout the running time.

"Pencil" is the first film acted by GVP, but its release was delayed due to financial issues. But now, it has reached the audience, that too with positive responses.
