When "The Bachelorette" 2016 premieres later this year, Caila Quinn will be the lucky lady looking for love, according to a March 3 tweet by popular --and usually accurate-- spoiler source Reality Steve.

Steve spills the beans

Steve's late afternoon tweet, which read "Bring your toy houses, Barbie dolls, and perma smiles, sources have confirmed to me that Caila is your next 'Bachelorette,'" drew a mixed reaction from show fans, but most of the responses were of a negative ilk.

Several responded with a simple "no" while others were more creative with their commentary. A few, however, like tweeter teaandpixiedust, were pleased to see the 23-year old get the job and wrote that they were "really happy" with the selection.

Quinn, the Ohio native who made it to the top three of the current season of "The Bachelor" before show lead Ben Higgins sent her packing during the Feb.

29 broadcast, bested a trio of popular fellow hopefuls to land the gig. Others who were rumored to be in the running for the job included Becca Tilley, who appeared on both Higgins' as well as Chris Soules' season of "The Bachelor," and single mom of two Amanda Stanton, who was eliminated from contention following hometown dates week. Also in the mix was JoJo Fletcher, who will allegedly be sent away by Higgins at the close of the current season's final episode.

Will she find love?

Whether or not Quinn finds love during her tenure as "The Bachelorette" remains to be seen, of course, but the show has a decent record when it comes to helping participants find long-term love. Of the 11 leads who have taken part in the show to date, three (Trista Sutter, Ashley Hebert, and Desiree Hartsock) are currently married to the men they chose at the end of their respective seasons. Kaitlyn Bristowe, who served as the lead last season, is reportedly still engaged to her own pick, the Ryan Gosling-lookalike Shawn Booth.

The current season of "The Bachelor" will come to a close on March 14 as Higgins pops the question to the last contestant standing.
