The singer and actress, Madonna’s daughter called Lourdes was doing well without being in the spotlight – but now she is nineteen years old, and triying to break out of the shadow of her mother by working as a model.

Co-author, fashion designer, background singer

Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon was born in October 1996 as the daughter of Madonna and her Cuban personal trainer, Carlos Leon. Even though Lourdes Leon, known by her nickname, Lola, is mostly famous for being the first child of the world-famous singer-actress (her half-brother Rocco’s father is Guy Ritchie, and Madonna adopted her step-brother, David Banda and step-sister, Mercy James), she has achieved a few things in her life.

For example, she was a co-author of her mother’s children’s book published in 2003 titled The English Roses. In 2010 – also in cooperation with the star – she launched a fashion brand named Material girl (so she can also be regarded as a fashion designer), and in addition, she sang at some of Madonna’s concerts and in her music videos, and she worked as a background singer on her album titled MDNA.

Nowadays, Lola has been the muse of a more famous fashion designer, Stella McCartney: Paul McCartney’s daughter has chosen her to be one of the faces of her new fragrance, POP.

So the star kid is busy with the campaign in which she takes part as a model. Of course, Madonna is very proud of her for her starting a career, and she almost immediately shared her child’s great campaign photos on Instagram. And Stella McCartney wrote the following nice words about Lourdes who she thinks has a great career ahead.

“I’m so happy to have Lola on the POP team! Lola, who I’ve known her entire life, is at the beginning of her career as a performing artist and she’s an independent, inspirational and free-spirited young woman. Despite being born in the spotlight, she has kept her feet firmly on the ground!”

Reading the enthusiastic words of the fashion designer, we won’t be surprised if Lourdes and McCartney works together a lot in the future as well.
