In a brilliant bit of life imitating art imitating life - Ryan Reynolds leaked his own Deadpool parody of a recent Kanye West rant that turned up after his Saturday Night Live performance.

So far, the cult “R-rated” superhero continues to quickly grab even more appeal over his traditional “PG-13” Marvel universe peers. Deadpool appears to strike a chord where Hancock (which ironically toned things down to get a "PG-13" rating) fell short with Will Smith playing a foul-mouthed superhero.

Not Safe for Work Appeal of Raunchy Hero

Reynolds in character as Deadpool went on about “breaking the Internet” and being “50% more influential than MC Hammer, Apostle Judas Iscariot, and the KIA Sorrento.. 10% more influential than Barbara Bush, the Muppets, Bob Newhart. 60% more influential than the iPhone 5, shredded cheese and Dr. Ruth. 7% less influential than the Urban Dictionary.”

Such humor and willingness to take risks are only examples of how the Deadpool movie has blown past box office expectations and continues its blockbuster trajectory during what’s normally an off-season for movies.Recently, fans created a Change.org petition suggesting that Deadpool should be an SNL host.

One fan said, "If it worked for Betty White, it will work for Deadpool." There are now over 70,000 signatures.

Appeal of Self-Aware vs. Delusional Rants

Deadpool's star brilliantly pokes fun at Kanye West's bizarre outrage over last minutes changes made to his act on SNL. West continued to go on about everything from his own popularity before drifting back to familiar controversial territory about Taylor Swift.

That recent shot caused Swift to brush it off at her Grammys acceptance speech on Monday, where she encouraged young women to not let people "undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame."

Meanwhile, Deadpool continues to scorepoints with its irreverent self-aware nature. Frequently breaking the fourth-wall and running gags that refer to movies familiar to its fans, the movie finds away to give studios the middle finger while admitting that without them none of its current success would be possible.
