Remember when must-see TV meant setting VCRs for our favorite shows? Long before binge-watching and DVR's, audiences tuned in each week to watch their beloved on-screen friends. Nearly twelve years ago the hit television series, Friends, went off the air with a finale that became the most watched show of the decade.

So, while Facebook celebrated its 12th anniversary with a “Friend’s Day” for users to share a video looking back at personal memories with their friends, let's catch up with our favorite stars of this popular 90's hit.

Where are They Now?

In 2012 Jennifer Aniston, the actress known for the on-again, off-again romance that kept us watching, Rachel Green, remains one of the highest paid actresses with a net worth estimated at $150 million. Aniston is also known for her support of charities such as St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Courtney Cox went from her role as the group’s mom, Monica Gellar, to playing a mom character on series Cougar Town for 102 episodes, while doing other various television and feature film roles.

Best known for her role as the bubbly, eccentric Phoebe Buffay, actress Lisa Kudrow continues to be in demand for both big screen and television roles. Besides these, Kudrow has written and produced her online show,Web Therapy.

But What About the Guys?

While Matt LeBlanc played the struggling actor, Joey Tribbiani, known for some of the show’s most popular catch phrases, he has done a lot better in real life.

LeBlanc won a Golden Globe award for his work on Episodes in 2012 and more recently joining the auto enthusiast show Top Gear.

Matthew Perry may still have a hard time explaining what he does. But the actor known for playing the quirky corporate friend hasn’t been sitting still either. Although Perry briefly entered rehab in 1997, he has literally become a “Champion for Recovery,” speaking before congress about drug court funding.

Last but not least is the awkward but lovable paleontologist, Ross Gellar, played by David Schwimmer. Even before Friends ended, Schwimmer was already branching out on projects such as the HBO series Band of Brothers. He has also produced and directed off-Broadway shows.

While Hollywood is known for celebrity breakups, probably the most surprising part is how a group actors have remained “friends” over the years.
