Sad news in Detroit, as the family of hip hop icon Eminem (Marshall Mathers) mourns one of their own. Dawn Scott, the sister of Eminem’s ex-wife Kim Scott, passed away yesterday at the age of 40. In addition to being Eminem’s former sister-in-law, Dawn was also the mother of the ex-couple’s daughter, Alaina.

According to online sources, police in Michigan confirmed the40-year-old drug addict, just like Lamar Odor, succumbed to death due to heroin overdose. Dawn, the twin sister of Eminem’s ex-spouse Kim Scott, has been good friends with the hip hop singer since she was a kid. She’s said to have passed away yesterday, Tuesday January, 19th in the Motor City Trailer Park in Detroit.

After running away from home, the twin sisters moved and went to live with Eminem and his mother when he was only 15, and the ex-lovers started their romance back in 1989. They married in 1999 and divorced in 2001, before they remarried in 2006 for only four months.

Dawn, who had been homeless since 2014, spending nights on the street and even sleeping on peoples couches, blamed Eminem and Kim for her drug addiction. Just four months before she passed on, she revealed her endless struggle to defeat her drug addictions and said that the ex-couple gave her no help at all.

She said: "I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with money up the ass."“One night I called my sister and told her I had nowhere to go,” Scott claimed.“She said, ‘That’s not my problem.

Don’t bother me,’ and hung up.”

Dawn’s frustrated boyfriendLes Martin(who has been living with his girlfriend on and off for the last four years), also revealed he had called Kim numerous times and begged her to help her sister.

He said: "I’ve been trying like hell to save her life. I’ve had numerous conversations with Kim about trying to get her help and it just wasn’t a conversation she wanted to have.""She wanted to let Dawn go.

I was so frustrated I was like, "Do you have a $10 million insurance policy on her?"'

After years of pleading with Kim and Eminemfor help, Dawn is now gone. May she rest in peace.
