If you go on IMDB right now and check the database for the best TV shows of all time you will find Breaking Bad at the top, with a well-deserved rating of 9.5/10. It is, without a doubt, #1 on the top 5 most exciting shows of all time. If you haven’t watched this show already then I suggest you stop whatever you are doing and stream it right now. It doesn’t matter if you are a fan of TV shows or not, by the end of the first season, you will be hooked and won’t budge from the screen until you are done with all five season.

What is it all about?

The basic premise of the show is that a high school chemistry teacher, named Walter White, is diagnosed with lung cancer and told he only has a short time to live. In order to leave behind a legacy for his family (two kids and a wife), he teams up with his former student and drug-addict-turned-manufacturer Jesse Pinkman in order to produce crystal methamphetamine of the highest quality and sell it.

Sounds simple enough, right? Well that is what we all thought when we first began watching the show, but things began to take a drastic turn very soon and both of them get stuck in a vicious cycle. Breaking Bad deals with heartbreak, loss, addiction and, more importantly, the unconditional love for his family, which can keep a man going in the toughest of the circumstances.

If you have seen the show repeatedly then you will realize that everything Walter did – every despicable atrocity he committed – was only to protect his family and Jesse, of whom he grew very fond of.

We were also left with some of the most memorable lines as well, most fascinating of which is this one: “I am the one who knocks”.

The bottom line is that Breaking Bad will always be remembered as one of the best TV shows out there. It has all the elements – love, thrill, mystery, murder, conspiracy that make a series worth watching.
