In Kindergarten Cop 2, the fifty-eight year old Dolph Lundgren will appear as a grumpy FBI agent called Reed. Just like in the first film, the protagonist will have to go undercover as a kindergarten teacher.

Out of respect for the first movie, the first official photos of this film were published on the original one’s 25th anniversary. One of the photos directly commemorates the original comedy as Dolph Lundgren is in the same iconic pose in which we could see Arnold Schwarzenegger earlier.

In the other photos we can see the star in different stages of nervous breakdown – caused partly by the children.

So probably the story of Kindergarten Cop 2 will also be about how difficult it is for the undercover kindergarten teacher to deal with the five-year-olds who are assigned to him. The actor has to pull himself together if he wants to be as good as Arnold Schwarzenegger’s kindergarten cop since the earlier comedy might not be the best film of Arnie, but it’s definitely on the list of his best comedies.

Lundgren, whom we could see in Universal Soldier, Rocky IV, and The Expendables movies, is a quite unusual choice for this role as we couldn’t really see him in comedies earlier (before the original Kindergarten Cop, Schwarzenegger appeared in the very successful Twins).

But the year of 2016 seems to be the year of comedies for the actor as besides Kindergarten Cop 2, which will be available on DVD and Blu-Ray, too, he will act in the Coen brothers’ Hail, Caesar! as well.

We can’t really find any other famous names in the movie which is currently in the phase of post-production. The female protagonist, one of the kindergarten colleagues of the protagonist, will be played by Sarah Strange. One could see her in an enchanting custom movie titled Little Women and White Noise, but most of us probably can’t recall her name.

The exact date of Kindergarten Cop 2’s premier is unknown but as the signs show it will be released earlier than we thought. It'll be interesting to see what the iconic Lundgren will bring to the role.
