Entertainment Weekly has chosen Jennifer Lawrence, 25, from The Hunger Games as its 2015 Entertainer of the Year. The honor comes as the final chapter of Hunger Games, Mocking Jay Part 2, debuted in theaters, along with her appearance as Mystique in the X-Men movie that will come out next summer.

Lawrence also has a partnership going with comedian Amy Schumer, and is writing with her. Schumer is also on the Entertainer of the Year list of winners. Due to her Entertainer of the Year award win, Lawrence is featured on the cover of the latest issue of the magazine.

Entertainer of the Year will also direct two new films

The Entertainer of the Year winner isn’t just winning awards and doing movies, she is going to make her directorial debut with a script entitled Project Delirium. Project Delirium is based on an article called, Operation Delirium, that was published in the New Yorker magazine in 2012 and takes place in the 1960s.

The movie is about mental warfare and how studies were conducted with psychochemicals that were meant to incapacitate enemy soldiers on a temporary basis.

The chemical warfare experiment subjected over 5,000 American soldier volunteers to dangerous, debilitating chemicals like LSD, BZ, and marijuana.

Lawrence has also been concentrating on her working relationship with director David O. Russell, who was her director when she won an Oscar for best actress in Silver Linings Playbook and received an Oscar nomination for American Hustle. The two have recently collaborated in the movie Joy, which is slated to be released on Christmas Day.

Zero guilt means friends must be authentic

Lawrence says she has zero guilt about having to cut some people out of her life during her rise to fame and fortune. She explained that people try to be hangers-on and she had to learn how to deal with that because as soon as she discovers someone is using her or is in it for money, she cuts them out of her life.

That doesn’t mean Lawrence has no friends, however, as she says that friends must be authentic and real.

She said that some of those friends include Schumer, Adele, and Emma Stone. She reminisced about fun parties she had during filming The Hunger Games, such as Woody Harrelson chasing her with a sweaty sock and Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth playing tug of war with a shirt.

All in all, it seems that Lawrence is doing well and the Entertainer of the Year award for 2015 reflects her success.
