Alexa PenaVega crowned one of the craziest weeks of the Dancing with the Stars season with a perfect score on a night punctuated by riveting dance routines. All the contestants had switched partners for an insane show. The unlikely pair of Alexa and Derek Hough showcased an epic tango that stunned the audience.

They earned a standing ovation from Carrie Ann Inaba and all four judges, including guest judge Maksim Chmerkovskiy awarded perfect tens. Alexa more than made up for her last week's blunder. The judges were full of praise for the performance: Judge Julianne lauded its "authenticity," while Carrie Ann Inaba called it "incredible." Guest judge Maksim pointed out that, "It was not quickstep.

It was an amazing quickstep!"

While some participants flourished from the change of pace, other pairings struggled on stage: Tamar Braxton and Louis Van Amstel were not at their best to say the least. Mark Ballas and Paula Deen were somewhat awkward to watch. Both couples received the night's lowest scores for their dismal performances. Although, there was no elimination this week, someone will the leave the show next week.

At the end, Paula Deen flashed up the rear to reveal the word "Shake," which was blinged across her bottom. Carrie Ann described Paula's routine with Mark Ballas as the "best dance ever". However, Bruno didn't share the same views, he called it a little flat. On the other hand, Julianne Hough felt that Paula brought the cookies to the stage while Mark brought the milk.

Unsurprisingly, Bindi Irwin rounded out the top three. She performed the cha-cha with Valentin Chmerkovskiy. This was after bringing a live anaconda to practice. Although poor Val struggled with Bindi's dependence on animal-focused metaphors for the dance routines, they gave a fantastic performance that captivated the audience – the duo earned a respectable 37.
