The genius directorMartin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprioare working together in a movie for the sixth time. The result of their work, which is based on a true story, is expected to be a huge success intheaters. A real, notorious serial killer,Henry Howard Holmes’s life will be shown in the movie; he killed at least 27 women at the time of the world expo in 1893.

The method of Henry Howard Holmes – who was a seemingly pious doctor –, was that he had a castle built for expo. In the building, labyrinths of corridors and rooms, secret trap doors, sound-proof chambers and stairs leading nowhere led the victims to the serial killer.

In the maze of the building, Holmes tortured, killed, then skinned in acid bath and preserved his lovers and guests.

Holmes was finally caught by Pinkerton detective agency in 1894. During the proceedings, they could convict him of “only” nine murders, but he probably tortured and killed more than 27 people. After the trial he was sentenced to death and was hanged.

Scorsese’s film version will be based on Erik Larson’s bestseller The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic And Madness At The Fair That Changed America(2003).

The two main characters of the book are the serial killer himself and the master builder of the world expo, Daniel H. Burham, so millions of fans think that Matt Damon will get the other main role side by the side with DiCaprio as in the movie The Departed in 2006.

The two talents of Hollywood, Scorsese and DiCaprio, are not working on their first common movie. After Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed, Shutter Island and The Wolf of Wall Street, this film – the working title of which is Devil in the White City –, will be the sixth cooperation of DiCaprio and Scorsese.
