I'm an avid Twitter person. Am I on it a little more than I should be? Yeah, probably. I also don't get mad very often. But this is a very serious issue that needs to be addressed.

And as I scroll through my Twitter newsfeed, I see so many people already tweeting about how they want to start listening to Christmas music and that they can't wait for the snow. Let's pump the brakes for a second. It's not even Halloween yet! Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas as much as the next person. It's probably my favorite holiday, outside summer vacation. (yes I now that's not an actual holiday) But I can wait for snow Fall. It's like we go from summer into winter, completely forgetting about fall

What happened to everyone getting all geeked out about pumpkin spice latte's, apple orchard, and football? What happened to the excitement of going door to door asking strangers for candy? Halloween is literally the only day that that is socially acceptable.

What happened to carving pumpkins  and roasting the pumpkin seeds? Oh yeah, it died when we all decided to only do it for the "gram" and not just because it was fun.

What about Thanksgiving? Did we forget about that too? Y'all are too busy worrying about the "great Black Friday deals" you think you're getting, you forget about spending time with your family while eating way too much food. And just thinking about the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, and you can't forget about the great American apple pie, gets my mouth watering

Not to mention the fact that Black Friday is no longer on Friday. It starts at like 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. This is asinine. Do people no longer enjoy watching Thanksgiving day football anymore? I for one love it, even if the Lions lose.

But I digress.

Forgive me if I seem a little harsh, but the fact of the mater is that Christmas can wait. Fall is about the leave changing, pumpkin spice lattes, puffy sweaters, apple orchards, Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin, and football. Let Fall have its time, Christmas will be here soon enough and then we can complain all about the snow and ice, and how we wish it was summer again.
