On Thursday, November 17, Kanye West used his concert time to go on a political and social rant. He mentioned that he didn’t vote, but if he did, it would have been for Donald Trump. He also went on to say that America is racist and that we have to stop focusing on that.

He said, “That don’t mean that I don’t believe black lives matter, that don’t mean that I don’t think I don’t believe in women’s rights, that don’t mean that I don’t believe in gay marriage,” he continued on, “because, that was the guy I would’ve voted for.” As people were angrily walking out of his concert, he continued on with his political rants before ending the show.

Two days later on Saturday, November 19, Kanye West performed two songs before beginning his on-stage rant, and then stepping off stage, cutting his concert about three hours short. He began, “It’s a new world Hillary Clinton. It’s a new world. Feelings matter. Because guess what? Everybody in America felt a way, and they showed you how they felt.” In the midst of some profanity, he continued on with, “It’s a new world Barack, it’s a new world Jay-Z.

You might not like it, but they gotta hear it. I’m not here to massage you with a fake truth. Telling you Hillary will win over and over and over.” He then ended with, “Right now press, get ready to write your passive-aggressive comments, Lebron James, racist comments, season for racist comments. Get ready to have a field day, press, get ready, get ready.

Because the show’s over.” He then dropped his mic and walked off stage.

Kanye also mentioned Donald Trump’s slogan ‘make America great again’ during this tirade, as well as used his concert time to derogatorily attack Beyonce, the radio, and the media.

Kanye hospitalized

Subsequent to his two political tirades, Kanye West announced that he had cancelled the last 21 days of his Saint Pablo Tour.

Shortly after, he was with his personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, when Kanye seemingly had an emotional breakdown and Pasternak called 911 for a psychiatric emergency. He was taken to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles where he was placed on a psychiatric hold and stayed the night.
