President-elect Trump continues to receive constant media attention for his bigoted statements that target Muslims, Mexicans and immigrants overall. Another group of Americans who feel targeted are women, especially because Trump ran alongside Indiana Governor Mike Pence. Pence is known for his strong opposition to abortion and government funding for planned parenthood. The Vice President-elect seems obsessed with abortion and doesn’t acknowledge any of the other services Planned Parenthood offers such as cancer screenings as well as sexually-transmitted diseases tests and treatments.

Planned parenthood donations have increased

After the GOP won the presidential election last week, Americans have been looking for ways to make their voices heard. This has included nationwide protests, petitions to dismantle the electoral college system and making donations to Planned Parenthood in Pence’s name.

The phenomenon started with an Instagram post from artist Bethany Cosentino who suggested people make donations that counteract Mike Pence’s beliefs. Because Planned Parenthood sends thank you cards to its donors, Cosentino included Pence’s address so he would receive as many cards as the healthcare organization received donations.

Mike Pence’s beliefs don’t help the GOP’s favorability with females

Donald Trump has been making offensive comments about women for years, as verified by the audio clip of him describing how he used his fame to force himself on women in 2005, leading many people to label him a misogynist. Adding Mike Pence to the Republican ticket didn’t exactly attract more female voters because of his very public opinions about a woman’s right to choose (or lack thereof) and the war he’s waged on Planned Parenthood since becoming Governor of Indiana.

How you can personally donate to Planned Parenthood in Mike Pence’s name

If you want to join the movement and make a small donation to fight back against Pence’s efforts to strip Planned Parenthood of its government funding, simply visit the organization’s website. Regardless of how much money you can afford to share, make sure you give Mike Pence the credit.

Use the address below, imagine the look on his face when the thank you notes come pouring in and pat yourself on the back. Note: The donations are not tax-deductible, but they are good for the soul.
