Today is the day that many Americans have been anticipating for months.November 8, 2016 marks the day that the United States will have a newly elected president. After months of debate between the Republican candidate, Donald Trump, and the Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, later this evening one of these two people will have the title as the newly elected president of the United States of America. With that being said, this day has definitely gotten off to an interesting start.

Peeking at his wife’s ballot

Donald Trump, his son, Eric Trump, and his wife, Melania Trump, are amongst the thousands of Americans castingtheir votes today.

This morning, the Trump familyarrived at their polling location in New York. Just after casting their votes, Trump was caught on camera leaning over andpeeking at his wife’s ballot as if toensure that she did not suddenly decide to vote for a candidate aside fromher husband. It didn’t take long beforethe photo and video began circulating around Twitter.

Son posting a tweet of ballot

Trump glancing at his wife’s ballot isn’t the only interesting this that occurred within the Trump family today. Early this morning, Eric Trump tweeteda picture of his completed ballot with the caption, “It’s an incredible honor to vote for my father!

He will do a great job for the U.S.A! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain." Clearly unknown to him, in New York along with 18 other states, it is against the law to share a completed election ballot. Eric Trump rapidly deleted his tweet, but with over 560Kfollowers on Twitter, there was no reversal of his actions; it had already made its way across social media.

This could cause him to face a fine up to $1,000 and also up to a year in jail.

Thisinteresting start to election day only adds tothe interesting things that have occurred throughout the entire 2016 presidential election.

Soon enough, the battle between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will come to an end and America may or may not have their very first female president.
