Speaking at a campaign rally in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Donald Trump proudly declared himself as America’s “law and order candidate,” as America continues to recover from the shock of last week’s Dallas shooting.

Trump also goes off with choice words against Clinton

“We must maintain law and order at the highest level or we will cease to have a country, 100 percent,” Trump said on Monday. “We will cease to have a country.

I am the law and order candidate.”Adding more fuel to the election-related fire, Trump couldn’t resist taking even more digs at his presumptive rival for the U.S. presidency, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.“Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is weak, ineffective, pandering, and as proven by her recent email scandal which was an embarrassment not only to her but to the entire nation as a whole,” commented Trump. “Not only am I the law and order candidate but I am also the candidate of compassion, believe it.

The candidate of compassion.”

Trump’s remarks on law and order came days after Dallas

Republican candidate Trump has never shied away from controversy in his comments, but they were, in any case, timely. His new remarks came on the heels of the Dallas shooting, where African-American gunman Micah Johnson killed five police officers and injured nine other people toward the end of a rally. The event was held to mourn the shooting deaths of two separate black men killed by police officers, one in Louisiana, and the other in Minnesota.

Donald Trump

“Everyone will be treated equally and justly without prejudice,” Trump said, promising safety in the light of continued problems with police violence and poverty in several parts of the country. “Without safety we have nothing. It is the job of the next president to make America safe again for everyone.”

Trump was joined at the Virginia rally by New Jersey Governor and rumored vice presidential hopeful Chris Christie, who also showered praise upon America'slaw enforcement.

He said that the U.S.needs a president “who will once again put law and order at the top of the priority” when he takes office.
