The 2016 Election

The 2016 election will go down as one of the most unique in history. Donald Trump was able to breeze through the Republican primary with relative ease. While Hillary Clinton was still battling a stubborn Bernie Sanders, her poll numbers suffered. However, now that she has all but secured the nomination for her party, the true poll numbers are starting to reflect in a potential landslide victory.

In a recent poll, Hillary Clinton has opened up a 12 point lead over Donald Trump. This is a huge difference that is well outside of the margin of error. Donald Trump needs to act fast in order to recover his campaign. Over the past few months, Donald Trump has said a lot of things about the economy and military to stir up voters. With his recent comments after the disaster in Orlando, many voters are left shaking their heads. Donald Trump has several main issues.

  • LowFavorability Ratings
  • Declining Voter Base
  • Too Much Media Attention
  • Lack of Knowledge on Key Issues

Donald Trump has a problem with his voting base. The reason that he was able to win the primary was because he has millions of loyal followers. The problem is that people either love Donald Trump or they hate him. Many people would rather vote for any candidate than have him in the White House.

With all of the news coming out of Great Britain and Venezuela, now is not the time to elect someone who does not know what they are doing.

Can Clinton capitalize?

Hillary Clinton has some campaign problems of her own. It took a lot more time and resources than anyone ever imagined to get rid of a pesky Bernie Sanders.

With her attention fully on Trump, Hillary Clinton wants to make sure the voters understand their clear choice. Clinton has made it her life to be in politics, and in a year of populism this may be difficult to overcome. Even though Trump is a billionaire, she also has plenty of wealth in her own life. Some people may see this as a negative as the gap between the rich and poor grows wider every day.
